For My Grandmother Who Passed....

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
      Then someone at my side says: " There, she is gone!"
         " Gone where?"
   Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port.
    Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: " There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:      
" Here she comes!"
                       And that is dying.

Arkansa

Yeah you read correctly I wrote Arkansa. If you are wondering why, well I'm here in , yes , Arkansa vistiting my aunt and uncle for the week. Now normally I would be Christian, but today I'm becoming Baptist. Wihy??? Well my uncle and his family are Baptist. To be honest with you I'm a bit scared. Let's just see how todays going to turn out. Fingers crossed!!  ;-)

I have not had time to get back to you all after the holidays, but I hope your Christmas was as fun filled as mine was. With my 16th b-day coming up everything has changed and my mother has almost come to terms with my age. I just received my own phone and accessories to go with and hopefully the Christmas tree will be coming down soon. This year my grandma received a puppy for her Christmas present and she is just now realizing how hard it is to take care of other living creature.
           How about your Christmas? Was yours crazy? What did you receive this holiday?
